APOTHEOSIS: Nettle

Nettle
god of love, nature, peace, protection, and the wilderness
This post discusses one of the ten new gods that have ascended to divinity and formed a new pantheon, following the destruction of the Heresiarch at the end of SND-02: Fane of the Heresiarch. Click here to learn more about this process.

What is Sacred? What is Profane?
Purpose and direction are sacred. All life is a product of nature, so all life is sacred. Mercy, struggle, and empathy are sacred for they add value to life. Forgiveness is love and the first step towards peace, so it is sacred as well. Art, beauty, and joy are sacred as celebrations of life and nature. Peace and balance is the force driving life and nature, the end goal of all struggle. Sacrificing oneself to protect another is the ultimate gift.

Death, emptiness, nothingness are profane. Despair and hopelessness are profane. Destruction without cause is meaningless, and thus the ultimate sin.

What weapons or implement is held in high regard?
The buckler, for it exemplifies protection and circularity. The paintbrush and lyre as tools of art, celebration, and love. The bow and the arrow for they represent singularity, direction, and forward progress.

Who are your chosen people?
Lovers, artists, and those who would sacrifice everything to defend themselves, their loved ones, or their principles.

What number is a sacred number?
One, the number of unity and peace. Infinity is also sacred, as it encompasses all things.

What other forms, aside from humanoid, does your god take when descending upon mortals?
The budding flower in the spring, the warm ray of sun in the summer, the wind and rain that cause the leaves to fall in the autumn, the glittering perfection and individuality in a single flake of snow.

What other names is your god known by?
Peacebringer, The Custodian, The Harbinger
